Galería/ FRANK HUNTER

Pecan Trees, 1998
20x24 inch Platinum-Palladium Print
Edition of 21
Frank Hunter Born in El Paso, Texas, prints his photographs using a technique that is all but forgotten. The art of platinum palladium printing is painstaking and unforgiving, but rewards the artist with images that are rich with detail and nuance. For Hunter, it is the only medium worthy of a subject he regards as sacred: the American landscape. He spends several weeks each year in Atlanta, rural Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, and the low country of South Carolina to capture his stunning landscapes and interiors. Hunter received a MFA in photography from Ohio University and Jackson Fine Art has represented his work for nearly ten years. His photographs are in the collections of The Columbus Museum of Art in Columbus, GA, The Denver Art Museum, The High Museum of Art, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
