China, 3/23/2009.- A visitor walks on «Broken Bridge» in Dandong which used to connect China and North Korean before it was bombed by the US during the Korean war and is now a tourist attraction on the Yalu River. The US, South Korea and Japan have urged North Korea to drop its planned April 4-8 rocket launch which they say is a pretext to test-fire a long-range Taepodong-2 missile, capable of reaching Alaska. Abu Dhabi, 3/22/2009.- An Emirati man walks inside Sheikh Zayed mosque, the third largest mosque in the world, located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The mosque is named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan al-Nahayan the founder and the first president of the UAE, who is also buried there. (AFP)

London 3/19/2009.- Sir Ian McKellen, one of Britain's leading Shakespearian actors, poses for photographers as he visits the site of London's first purpose built playhouse, called The Theatre, built in 1576 in east London, Thursday March 19, 2009. McKellen visited the site of what some scholars say is Shakespeare's first theatre, which has been uncovered by Museum of London archaeologists. The location, currently a disused warehouse, is where Shakespeare wrote and performed at The Theatre between 1594-7. (AP)

Barbacoa es un pirata atípico enamorado del mar y la aventura, a causa de ello sufrirá castigos merecidos por su deslealtad antes de recuperar de nuevo la libertad…

Telón de Arena inicia su temporada infantil con el reestreno de Barbacoa, historia de piratas, del autor mexicano Carlos Converso, y bajo la dirección de César Cabrera.

Esta obra dedicada al público infantil trata sobre las aventuras de un héroe atípico, el capitán Barbacoa, y plantea un redescubrimiento de los valores de libertad y solidaridad.

Barbacoa es un pirata que está en busca del mapa que lo guíe al galeón Buenaventura que se dice que contiene un inigualable tesoro. Pero al capitán no le interesa tanto el dinero como la aventura, sin embargo, enfrentará sorpresas que lo llevarán a descubrir el valor de la libertad.

Una divertida aventura que invita a los niños a imaginar, cantar y navegar en alta mar a bordo de un barco pirata…
