Tomio Seike graduated from the Japan Photographic Academy in 1970, and immediately began working as a photographer's assistant. In 1975 Seike became a freelance photographer and worked mostly in the fashion industry and as a portrait photographer for the next ten years. During this time he began taking photographs in the U.K. and developed his more private work, including the "Zoe" series. Now most of Seike's serious works are taken in the U.K. and in Paris.
