Anuradhapura, 02/01/2007.- Novice Buddhist monks participate in their ordination ceremony, Samanera, in Anuradhapura, about 110 miles northeast of Colombo, Sri Lanka, Thursday. Although the minimum age to be ordained as a Buddhist monk is 20 years, boys under that age are allowed to be ordained as novices.
