Marilyn Bridges—one of the world's foremost aerial photographers—is the photographer/author of a number of books, among them Planet Peru and Markings (both published by Aperture), and Egypt: Antiques from Above. She received her master of fine arts in photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1981. Her images have been exhibited widely in the United States, Europe, and Asia and are included in more than fifty collections worldwide. Bridges has been the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, as well as Fulbright and National Endowment for the Arts grants. She is a fellow of The Explorers Club and a licensed pilot for both single- and multi-engine aircraft.
