Australia. 05/11/2013.- The «Skywhale» hot air balloon sculpture by Canberra artist Patricia Piccinini is deflated after it landed near the National Museum from its maiden flight over Canberra. The balloon is twice the size of a standard hot air balloon and weighs half of a tonne. Commissioned by the Centenary of Canberra, the balloon will feature as part of the Sculpture: Space and Place symposium at the gallery and will travel to Tasmania and Melbourne later in the year.
