France,06/02/2014.- A mannequin representing US 82nd Airborne paratrooper, John Steele, hangs from the church of Sainte-Mere-Eglise, in Normandy. Steele's paradrop on the night of June 5, 1944 landed him atop the church of Sainte-Mere-Eglise, as made famous by the film The Longest Day - and a mannequin remains in his place to this day. June 6, 2014 will mark the 70th anniversary of the Allied landings on D-Day, with world leaders gathering for an international ceremony in Ouistreham.
